Corina’s Venice apartment is located in a quiet area of Cannaregio, near the Madonna dell’Orto church, Tintoretto’s neighborhood; and the campo dei Mori, with one of the best eateries in town, the Osteria Orto dei Mori. The nearby Madonna dell’Orto vaporetto stop has waterbuses to everywhere (Piazzale Roma and the train station, Lido, Murano with connections to Burano and San Marco, including the airport (Alilaguna will take you there in 20 minutes, direct).
One street down you’ll find more recommendable eateries and cafes, a grocery store, and other shops; the next street over is a main thoroughfare to everywhere, and to another handy Grand Canal waterbus at San Marcuola.

From the airport:
Take the Alilaguna Arancio line (a 20-minute ride) to the ORTO stop. The Orange line departs on the hour and every 30 minutes thereafter; a ticket costs €15 and may be purchased in advance at veneziaunica.it (you may also buy city vaporetto passes there) and at alilaguna.com. Or, you can buy tickets in the airport at ground transportation (expect lines), at from the kiosks at the docks (one-way or return/round trip).
To reach the Alilaguna boats, exit the terminal to your left and make the 7-min, flat, well-marked, mostly covered walk to the docks.
From the Venezia Santa Lucia train station:
To purchase vaporetto passes for the length of your stay, head for the HelloVenezia kiosks located on the water outside the train station to your left. You may also purchase them from ticket machines there, or in advance from Veneziaunica.it, and retrieve them with a PNR from the machines on arrival.
Once you have your passes, take vaporetto Line 4.2 or Line 5.2 which depart from the Bar Roma vaporetto stop located beyond the ticket booths on the other side of the big, white Scalzi bridge crossing the Grand Canal). Your stop is Madonna dell’ORTO, just follow the directions we’ll e-mail you for the one minute walk to the apartment.
From Piazzale Roma:
Buy vaporetto passes either from the HelloVenezia counters (in the office or at the kiosks on the water), or in advance from VeneziaUnica.it and retrieve them with a PNR on arrival. Once you have your passes, take vaporetto Line 4.2 or Line 5.2 (which depart from the landing at the far end of the fondamenta) to the Madonna dell’ORTO stop; someone will meet you there and walk you to the apartment.
